During your first visit, you’ll meet the dentist, and your wisdom teeth will be checked. This usually involves just a photo and, if needed, a small mirror to look inside your mouth.
Once you agree to the treatment plan, we schedule your procedure to have your wisdom teeth removed under general anesthesia. Because you are under anesthesia, you won’t feel anything during the procedure and won’t experience pain.
Your safety is our top priority. To determine if general anesthesia is suitable for you, you’ll complete a medical questionnaire during your intake, which we carefully review. On the day of treatment, the anesthesia is administered by a skilled team of anesthesiologists who closely monitor your vital signs to ensure the procedure is completely safe.

Many people ask how much it costs to have wisdom teeth removed under general anesthesia. Costs vary depending on the complexity and duration of the procedure. At Narcose Dental, you’ll always receive a quote in advance, which we’ll review with you calmly and clearly.
The total cost includes both the treatment and anesthesia. The treatment fee is set annually nationwide by the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa), so all practices use the same rate for extracting a tooth or molar.
For anesthesia, there is a separate hourly rate. We charge a €350 starting fee, plus €175 for every 30 minutes.

Just like a regular dental treatment, procedures under general anesthesia may be reimbursed if your insurance covers it. The anesthesia fee is not included in standard dental coverage and must be paid separately. For more information, contact your insurer.
