Wisdom tooth extraction under anesthesia

At Narcose Dental we understand that a wisdom tooth extraction can be a frightful treatment. Treatment is often postponed, resulting in more dental problems or pain. To prevent this, it is important to be treated in a way that feels good for you.

Here you will not find white coats, but you will find friendly and approachable staff who listen patiently to you. We take your wishes into account to make the treatment as pleasant as possible.

We carry out our treatments while you are under anesthesia, so that you will not notice the removal of the wisdom tooth. When you wake up, the treatment is over and you can go home feeling good.

Questions about the treatment?

How does the treatment work?

Step 1: Register

Are your wisdom teeth causing pain? We then recommend that you make an appointment so that we can assess the situation and advise you on any next steps. Register via the website or call the practice.

Step 2: First appointment

After you have registered, we will contact you to schedule an appointment. During your first visit to the practice, you will meet the dentist and your wisdom teeth will be examined. You will also receive a medical questionnaire. This allows us to assess whether we can treat you under anesthesia.

Step 3: Personal treatment plan

Based on the intake, we draw up a treatment plan that is fully tailored to your situation and needs. The costs for the treatment are also included, so that you know exactly where you stand.

Step 4: Treatment under anesthesia

If you agree with your personal treatment plan, we will schedule a follow-up appointment to remove the wisdom tooth (or all 4 molars at the same time) under anesthesia. Because you are treated under anesthesia, you will not notice the treatment and you will not experience any pain.

Your safety is our priority. To ensure that you can be treated under anesthesia, we ask you to complete a medical questionnaire in advance. The anesthesia is administered by an experienced anesthesiologist. To ensure your safety, the anesthesiologist monitors your vital functions during treatment to ensure that the treatment is going well.

When should I have my wisdom tooth pulled?

Costs of wisdom tooth extraction under anesthesia

We are often asked how much it costs to have a wisdom tooth extracted under anesthesia. The costs may vary per person, depending on the complexity and duration of the treatment. At Narcose Dental you always receive a budget in advance, which we will discuss with you.

The total costs consist of the costs for the treatment and the costs for the anesthesia. The rate for the treatment is determined nationally every year by the Dutch Healthcare Authority. Every practice therefore works with the same rate for extracting a tooth.

There is an additional hourly rate for the anesthesia. We have set this rate at 350 euros starting rate for 1 hour. The anesthesia then costs 195 euros per 30 minutes.

Will my costs be reimbursed?

Just as with a normal dental treatment, treatments under anesthesia are reimbursed if you are insured for this. The rate for the anesthesia is not covered by insurance and must therefore be paid yourself. Contact your health insurer for more information.
